Rug Master - Sweep and Groom Electric Power Head - 1 1/4" Fit All Size

Designed to be used in a residential setting this power head can clean most types of wall to wall carpeting and area rugs. A built in automatic height adjustment pivots the power head closer or further away from the carpeting depending on the pile. By utilizing an electronic connection to power the rotating brush cleaning will be made easy. This power head will fit onto canister or central vacuum wands that use fit all size attachments. The flat rubber belt that drives the agitator brush needs to be changed every 12-18 months for the best performance. The belt view window allows you see if your belt is broken or needs to be changed. This is the new version of the older Beam Rugmaster power heads made by Beam Canada.
 
Note: This power head requires an electric connection to work. Please ensure your current vacuum is compatible with this type of attachment before ordering. If unsure please contact us with your model number and we would be glad to assist you.

 

Sizing:

This product fits all types of vacuum cleaners that use common fit-all attachments (1 1/4" inner diameter of attachment opening).  To verify if your vacuum is this size, first determine if your extension wand or hose handle fits inside your attachments and not outside.  Then, measure the inside where the wand or hose handle fits into the tool.

This includes most brands such as Beam, Bissell, Bosch, Broan, Cana Vac, Dirt Devil, Drain Vac, Durabrand, Dyson, Electrolux, Electron, Eureka, Euro Pro, Fantom, Frigidaire, GE, Hoover, Kenmore, Kirby, Miracle Mate, Nutone, Panasonic, Royal, Sanyo, Sebo, Shark, Vacuflo and many others. Some models may require adaptors available separate. If unsure, simply call or email us with the make and model # of your vacuum for sizing information.

    My old unit was 15+ years old. This new unit is wonderfull. It is self-propelled so that I simply direct the head and off it goes. So smooth and so much bettter than before. The mail order was easy, quick (I had it in less than 2 weeks), and efficient. There even was a personalized note of thanks for ordering from them.

    I recently replaced my old sweep and groom (not sure how old it was as it came in my house from the previous owner). It was very old and well used (the belt had broken) and it was time to get another. I ordered the same one (by phone) and love the updated model even more. It vacuums thoroughly and is a pleasure to use. It's a great deal too! And McHardy vacuum has some of the best customer service around. The lady was so kind and helpful and really made sure I was purchasing something that I would be happy with and in fact needed. She went out of her way to explain how I should open my old one up and see if the belt could be replaced instead of the entire power head. In the end I chose to order a new one, which was the best decision for me. Thanks McHardy Vacuums!

    When we purchased the house, it had a Sweep & Groom power head, but after 20 years, the motor mount fatigued. The new unit is a perfect replacement and has a better motor fastening design. The only complaint from the user is that it is harder to pull back due to the more aggressive brush vs the well worn unit, but it does do the job.
