Central Vacuum Sound Off Muffler

If you find your central vacuum is too loud a Sound Off muffler can help. Simply attach the muffler onto the exhaust port on the central vacuum power unit. The foam and insulation inside of the muffler will absorb the sound waves and work to reduce the noise. The Sound Off Muffler has an increased amount of insulation compared to the standard central vacuum muffler. The muffler is compatible with all central vacuum units that have a 2" diameter exhaust port. All instillation material is included.

    The noise from our Frigidaire central vac sounded like an airplane was idling in our garage. We bought this muffler and were amazed at the difference it made! Husband installed it in 5 mins. Works great!

    Maybe because I have a cheap central vacuum brand Nutone but I did not notice any noise reduction with this muffler. Loud enough to wake the dead McHardy's Response: This central vacuum Sound Off muffler is intended to reduce the noise of the exhaust air coming out of the machine. If the noise is caused due to other issues, like a loud/aging motor, this muffler will not reduce that noise. As well, if the muffler is not attached correctly, or if the clamp is not tight enough, the muffler will be ineffective.

    It was easy to attach this muffler to a Kenmore Central Vac unit. It resulted in a significant noise reduction (sound is still fairly loud, but no longer sounds like a jet turbine). Very fast shipping from McHardyVac. Recommended.
