Sanitaire SC535A BackPack Vacuum

We ordered this vacuum in the summer and recently the cord had broken. We contacted the company to see if they had a solution for us and they sent us a brand new one within a week. Amazing customer service. It s a great vacuum apart from the cord breaking! perfect for a studio where there are tight places to get into. lots of attachments!

At first I loved this vacuum, but In the 2 years that we've had had it, I've had the entire unit replaced twice. It does not stand up to commercial use over time. Parts were constantly being replaced during this time as well: electrical cord (more than once), backpack mesh back ripped (more than once), cord hook (arrived broken once, but immediately broke during other times), wand connection to floor attachment (more than once), plastic part of hose detaching from hose (all the time, but luckily enough we haven't lost it yet), belt buckles (more than once). And now the suction has become so bad it can't even suck up a small candy wrapper, let alone winter salt. However, it is still sucking to spec according to tests, so I can't replace it again. I always replaced the bags on a weekly basis and made sure that it was kept indoors at all times so as the cold would not damage the machinery. Now I have to shell out a lot more for a quality vacuum elsewhere. McHardy Response: Sorry to hear you're having such a bad experience with your vacuum. All round excellence. Very quiet. huge suction power. Cleans even the door mat in one swipe. Very comfortable on my back. Although intended for industrial use, I use it in my home, and find it way better than dragging a vacuum along with me and much easier than pushing a heavy upright too and fro. The best vacuum ever

This is a great back pack vacuum, it's light weight, quiet, and one of the best price points for quality I've seen in a long time.

I have only used it once but it was super quiet, you could even have a normal conversation while vacumming , that is its good feature, but is very awkward in smaller spaces, the long cord is great in large open area's but gets caught on stuff when you get into smaller offices and is bulky and there is no way to store the cord even when you put it away, and I see the switch has already pulled away from its very short cord, you are supposed to attach it to your belt but the cord was way too short. I have to fix the switch but have yet to find the schematics, even the website it refers to takes you to a Beam central vac. Overall it has it benefits but I will still need 2 different vacs to do the work I usually do with one, the price seemed good

Compact, quiet, Light weight with great power! When purchasing get extra bags, including the cloth bag, and extra filter, it just makes sense. Would like to get an additional floor attachment that is a little narrower the one that comes with the unit just a little too wide for my application, just a minor, minor inconvenience. May even look at a second unit for another building. Great unit!

This unit is very quiet , you can use it even if an office employee is using the phone. This is very important because who can afford to wait until they hang up. great suction, even with a full bag.

Awesome vacuum, we bought this for our store in a mall and our entire team loves using it! the on/off switch is in a super convenient location and it's MUCH quieter than any other shop vac we've ever used! The suction is strong so it's makes vacuuming really efficient. The ordering and shipping process was also very easy and fast!
