If your furry pet is comfortable being near the vacuum cleaner this is a great way to prevent the problem of animal hair throughout your home before it starts. The open suction port in the middle acts to prevent hair build up but offers a large cleaning area. The five rows of teeth on this attachment are ideal for longer haired animals. Sizing:

This product fits all types of vacuum cleaners that use common fit-all attachments (1 1/4" inner diameter of attachment opening).  To verify if your vacuum is this size, first determine if your extension wand or hose handle fits inside your attachments and not outside.  Then, measure the inside where the wand or hose handle fits into the tool.

    Not sure what the other reviewer was doing wrong but this tool is amazing! I use it with both my Dyson (needs adapter) and my central vacuum. My dog prefers the central because it's less noisy in the room and I can use the garage hose with is lighter and easier to manage. The dyson clips right on the end of the hose making it the easiest. I found that I don't have to vacuum the floors as often when using this.

    Because there is no pivot between the base of the tool and the bristle section of the tool, it is impossible to use on my dog. I imagine I would need a flat furry wall in order to make the tool de-fur as advertised. My rating is zero on this one.
