Miele Complete C3 PowerPlus Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Miele Complete C3 PowerPlus Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Experience the best of the best with the Complete C3 PowerPlus from Miele. The C3 series sets a new standard in floor care with its perfect synergy of design and functionality. Starting with 1200 watts of power behind the German made Vortex Silence motor that will easily clean any surface with very little noise. It's so powerful that Miele had to create six adjustable speeds so that you don't have too much suction for cleaning delicates but enough to remove heavy sand and dirt from bare floors. Now with Auto Suction so there is no need to think about which setting is best, just let the vacuum do it for you. Adjusting the speeds on this model is very easy with full controls right at your fingertips on the hose handle. The hose material is very resilient to damage and because of its light weight and flexible material you can literally step on the hose and it bounces back to its original shape. The body is also very durable so that it stands up to Miele's vigorous testing to ensure that this vacuum will have a 20 year life.
Included is the 12.5" wide Miele SBB 300-3 Parquet Twister bare floor brush. This floor brush provides maximum mobility for navigating around furniture yet gentle enough for hardwood. The double pivot neck allows you to twist and turn the head around table legs and chairs with a simple twist of the wrist. Along with a full tool set hidden under the lid for easy access you can be certain that dirt will not go unfound. Sealed filtration means that if you suffer from dust sensitivity due to allergies, asthma or other conditions you will have relief. The Miele sealed system ensures that no air can escape other than through the filter meaning that you will have the best filtration possible. For those who suffer from sensitivity to dust Miele has a HEPA filter that may be purchased seperately. Underneath are three bearing mounted swivel casters for ultra mobility meaning that the vacuum cleaner pulls easily around corners. This vacuum is made in Germany.

Excellent Vacuum and Customer Service 5
Posted by Cheryl on 7th Dec 2018
Just received my Miele Complete C3 PowerPlus vacuum and I have to say that I am VERY pleased with my purchase and, as well, with the customer service provided at the time of purchase. The saleswoman took the time to explain the filter system and features of this canister vacuum by phone as I was buying sight unseen due to my location. I will definitely consider McHardy Vacuums for any future purchases. Item shipped quickly and was received in excellent condition. Many thanks!

High quality vacuum. 5
Posted by Unknown on 31st Oct 2016
In the past 10 years I've owned 7 different cheap bagless uprights and every time I purchased one I would regret not spending the money on a higher quality vacuum. Well my last bagless upright finally died after less than 2 years of ownership so I finally went all out and got the Miele Compact C3 Total Care. I have to say that this vacuum is very well built and you can see the quality in every part. It's very light to drag around and I'm just really impressed by all the attention to detail. Here's to hoping this thing lasts me 10 years though as that's the only way I can justify spending this much money on it.

I'm not typically a canister vacuum person, having grown up and loving central vacuum. But, now I'm starting to be a convert. This thing purrs like a kitten - it's so quiet that my cats no longer attack the dreaded vacuum but instead stare at it with mild indifference. Seriously though, love the built in accessories, the controls - pretty much everything with the one exception that now I no longer have an excuse to not vacuum.

Love my Miele S8! 5
Posted by Helen on 28th Mar 2015
Purchased last month via website- easy process with speedy delivery right to my door (we live in the country so this was a big plus-thought I would have to pick it up at post office)I have a year old Dyson "Animal" canister vac which works great however I detest bagless vacs! I have allegies (to the cat in my house - go figure) and emptying and wiping dust from the canister is a very umpleasant task that no one in our house wants to do. Going back to a vac with bags is wonderful - easy, no mess or dust residue -it is worth the extra expense of the bags to me. The Miele S8 Continuum is solidly built with lots of helpful features like the suction adjustment and power controls right at your fingertips. Power head is a bit heavier to push than I thought it would be but it does an excellent job. Growing up we always had top of the line Electrolux vacs so I have high expectations of a vacuum and became so tired of the many cheaper vacs on the market that promise good suction but don't deliver and only last about a year or two. The Miele is a great find which I expect to work well for many years. Thank you!

Recently bought another vacuum (upright bag less) that was rated high. Gave it away to a friend who was desperate for any vacuum. Even though new - it was useless. This vacuum is the best. I actually going to the task of vacuuming now and every aspect of this is excellent. Ex: Excellent pick-up, tight into corners, sturdy body, easy changeover of tools. Love it! Well worth the higher cost.

Review of MIELE S8 Continuum and comparison to the SEBO D4. 5
Posted by Kevin on 12th Apr 2014
We had initially purchased a Sebo D4 vacuum which we ended up returning for a variety of reasons and ended up getting the Miele S8 Continuum instead. I thought before I get to busy with life and my experience with the Sebo D4 are still fresh that I at least post my initial impressions on the Miele S8 and some of the differences with the SEBO D4. Shortcomings to the Miele compared to the Sebo.... Power cord is shorter on the Miele at 21 feet compared to 40 feet of the Sebo. So far though, this is not an issue but we haven't vacuumed more than the lving room and kitchen so far with the Miele. I doubt this will be an issue even though our house was built in the late 60's and the electrical outlet distance standards from one another are further than what you have in newer homes. Powerhead on the Miele felt a little heavier to drag around in use than the Sebo. But this immediate impression has already quickly went away as a potential concern. Powerhead roller access on the Sebo to clear sucked up socks or clear rollers of hairs trapped/wrapped around it is just the same as most other powerheads for the Miele. Get your long nose pliers or scissors out to deal with. The Sebo is far better in this regard. The Sebo has a very simple way of removing the roller completely without any tools required. I in fact did this on my last day of its use. There was a child’s sock that got sucked up and stuck in the rollers, and when I flipped it over I saw I had to get the scissors and pliers to pull an accumulation of long hair wraparound the roller bar. It was so easy to deal with this being able to remove the roller bar completely. The Sebo also had a little trap door in the bottom of the powerhead body to get at the inner passage for when there's a 'hair-dustball' trapped inside, although I never did have to use that in my limited time with the Sebo I have had some times with other powerheads where this would be a nice feature. Waste bag on Miele is smaller by 25% than the Sebo. It may require more frequent changing, but the price per volume is pretty well identical to that of the Sebo bags, so no biggee there. For the same price, you get 5 6L Sebo bags versus 8 4.5L Miele bags. I must say though, the Miele bags I can get up the street and for most other people that should be the same whereas as of this date, Sebo bags would have to be shipped to me thus increasing the price somewhat. In reality, this is really not a shortcoming on the Miele other than frequency of bag changes. Both bags are sealable for easy disposal as well. Advantages of the Miele over the Sebo..... Better ergonomic hand grip on the wand/stem. The Miele has a knurled end so that your hand doesn't slip off in use. There was a tendency in using the Sebo that if your hands were dryish that it could easily slide while in use especially when you bump into something in pulling the powerhead back towards yourself. We’re at the end of winter and this was the perfect time to discover this with the drier air and skin inherent this time of year even though we have a built in humidification in our furnace system for the house. More hand grip controls. The Sebo just had the ability to turn the vacuum powerhead (not the canister) on and off at the push of a button and also to increase/decrease the suction power from the canister. The Miele has the abiltity of this as well as to power on the canister as well which will prove itself as handy when doing hand dusting. The Miele also offers to also have the suction "Auto Adjust" itself which I do not believe the Sebo had at all. I like the stem from the hand held part to the powerhead better. All wiring is built in whereas the Sebo had some wiring externally exposed. The body of the Sebo stem had a hard plastic shell which I assume was covering an internal metal stem for the internal components whereas the Miele is all metal construction for the tube section. Now what was inteersting about this and why I bring this up somewhat was just before getting rid of the Sebo I vacuumed an area of the living room quite a bit going over the same area repeatedly (I was playing with the height adjustment of the powerhead in that area). In the few days from that, I received my Miele and tried that area again even though it should have still been almost just as clean as it was a few days prior. With the Sebo, I didn't recall hearing the hard little debris pieces being sucked up, but with the Miele yesterday, I could hear little hard particles getting sucked up the wand and banging up inside the metal stem. While I don't believe that the Sebo had any less suction than the Miele, nor that the powerhead had less 'action' ability in disengaging particles from our medium pile carpet, it would seem to me that the Sebo's plastic cladding on the extendible wand muffles the sound of debris banging on its interior walls whereas the Miele is kinda telling you audibly, you still got dirt to suck up if you can hear it sucking things up. I kinda like that aspect. Not something I was looking for, and for others it may in fact not be preferred, but I like the Miele better in this regard. It's as if the vacuum is telling you "keep vacuuming dumdum, you're not done yet". Now one thing I did not pick up on in reading about the Miele until I got it yesterday that was different than the Sebo and I'm so glad, is the ability to adjust the height of the powerhead by just tapping with one foot a clickeable 1 to 5 adjustment level on the top of the powerhead body. With the Sebo, it is a dial on the top of the powerhead, and you have to bend over every time you do it to change the height setting. For me, that is a BIG plus over the Sebo. I hate bending over and I had already found that in early use with the Sebo I was bending over frequently when moving from one type of flooring to another to get the height level just right. While the frequency of bending over would diminish over time as I'd get used to what height levels I would typically use for each flooring type in our home, I know I would get lazy and not even bother changing it at all at times. With a foot actuated switchover, I can see myself changing the height elevation as I'm supposed to when I should being doing so. There's a light on the powerhead of the Miele, which is kinda cool as well. For vacuuming into dark rooms where you shoulda turned on the light before travelling into but didn't and for under beds and such, I suspect we will find this a welcome feature. With LED lights, I suspect they would last a long time. On board tool storage on the Miele is thru a spring loaded flip top door on the top of the canister which I'm already telling the other family members "Make sure you close it each time after you go in it" so as to prevent possible breakage if the open door bangs up against something or the unit flips over. The Sebo had all its hand attachments store in its rear without a door, but if using the canister standing it upright for in the case of wanting to reach high places, you can't access this storage area without flipping the canister back on its belly. Not sure how much this would have been aggravating, but even with the door breakage concern, I think I like the Miele better in this regard. I know from my experience with German made stuff, and I’m not German in case you were wondering just a fan of German engineering especially in power tool brands for which I’m a power toolaholic/junkie, even stuff with plastic components they are made to a very high standard of quality and engineering so I'm not too worried about this. Both Sebo and Miele are German made. In regards to the hose crooking awkwardly with the Sebo versus cord issues with the Miele. I gotta say, so far there seems to be no issues with the Miele in this regard. The Sebo touted a one foot longer hose and that it was flared offering more suction. Again, I don't think any of this had any real benefit at all for me. Sounded nice, but in practice makes no difference imo. Both have crush proof hoses, which is an important feature to me having crushed a few hoses in my time. The Miele definitely feels more nimble and less arduous to navigate around as well as being less heavier than the Sebo canister which weighs a couple of pounds more than the Miele's 13 lbs. Those are pluses, especially for the wife, she really noticed this immediately and I think it had to do with the wheels on the Miele being better rolling than the Sebo. Wheeling the Miele particularly on hard surfaces was effortless compared to the Sebo. It felt like the unit was glidding and travelling hardwood and when having to travel over its power cord was not an issue like the Sebo was. This was something that was bothering me with the Sebo and is greatly different in this regard between the two. Haven't gotten as stuck going around any corners as well. You still have to give the Miele a side tug at times going around corners and furniture, but not near as often as the Sebo and not near the amount of side tugging is needed to get it to continue along its merry way. If you like to detach the hose from the canister for storage, I found the Sebo was a little finicky and stiff to get it to disengage whereas the Miele was little more user friendly if you were aligned at the proper angle for reattaching. Again, this wouldn't really bug me, but the wife I know appreciates not having to likely struggle with that as I know she is truly not mechanically inclined like I am. Conclusions at his point, while my initial research seemed to indicate that the Sebo was just as good as what Miele offered and more economical, I'm glad I went with the Miele now. Now I should note, the Miele S8 Continuum is $250 more in price than the Sebo D4 and I cannot speak about personal experience of the Miele model S8 Dimension which is more in the price range of the Sebo at only $50 more and also doing a side by side comparison of the Dimension and the Continuum, it would seem to me the differences between those two Mieles are basically giving up the full controls on the wand that would now be on the cannister instead, and the light on the powerhead for cleaning under beds or in dark areas. Are those features worth $200 more? For me, after having used them with them and knowing how much I hate bending over, the answer is a definitive YES!!!! Other aspects of note, the Miele has TRUE Hepa filtration, while not a need for us, the Sebo is only hospital grade filtration which I was surprised to be told from McHardy’s that hospital grade is not as fine of filtration as Hepa. Both vacs are quiet, and despite I don’t own a gizmo that can measure db levels, I do think the Miele is a bit quieter. You could chat on the phone and even possibly a speakerphone using either vac possibly. If I have more to offer on this as we continue to use the Miele, I'll possibly update accordingly. We just got the Miele yesterday, but already I've gotten the "Happy Wife" indicator, and in married life, that's what matters most and is often the hardest to achieve at times. This surprises me, as had it not been for having tried the Sebo first, my wife takes a lot of convincing to tell her we should pony up what would be $250 for something like a vacuum for this and that in differences. In this circumstance, she was fine with this and already seems to love the Miele Continuum. It was a bit of a bumpy road, but at the end of the day...score 'one' for Kevin!

Great vacuum 5
Posted by Andrew on 23rd Mar 2014
Quiet and powerful. We like tools on board. Rolls well, light, swivel head tool for hard floors is very handy. The only negative would be that it tips over slightly at times, but it's not a big deal. Power head is heavy but works very well. Product shipped quickly without any issues.

Quiet and powerful. We like tools on board. Rolls well, light, swivel head tool for hard floors is very handy. The only negative would be that it tips over slightly at times, but it's not a big deal. Power head is heavy but works very well. Product shipped quickly without any issues.

I purchased my Miele Continuum S8 Canister Vacuum Cleaner , January 2014 from McHardy Vacuum. Great people to deal with! So far best vacuum I have ever owned. Amazing suction and glides along with out effort. It is nice and quiet and performs great on all flooring. Better suction than my Rainbow and exhaust air is just as clean! Love the adjustable suction and controls on the handle.I have had a Meile dishwasher for 11 years and no problems. They make top of the line appliances. Worth the money and hope it lasts 20 years!
