    I replaced the original filter with newActive Air Clean filter. It made a huge difference. It actually does clean the air. Much better than the old one. I wasn't sure if it would fit (a little more substantial design)...but it's great !

    I am disappointed that this odour removal filter is not longer lasting. I purchased my Meile in Jan and by June I noticed pet odour coming from vacuum. I change the bags regularly and feel that for the expense of almost 40.00 a pop plus the cost of bag changes it is going to be expensive to keep the odour away. I went with a bagged vacuum for this reason as I found my old Filter Queen was terrible for doggy odour. Reply: Thanks for posting Carol, one suggestion is to add the Fresh Wave Vacuum Pearls to eliminate the odour at the source. We've found that some pets have a much stronger odour than others and using Fresh Wave will increase the life of your filter.
