Fit All Shag and Frieze Carpet Rake - 12" Vacuum Cleaner Tool

I had to get a little creative in terms of making it fit my vacuum properly, but once I did it works great. My shag looks better and cleaner. Thank you

I have an old upright Electrolux, from way back. My dad bought it for me. It’s great, awesome for shag carpet, but it’s starting to die. I saw this attachment when I was looking for a vaccine that works on shag. I was excited, because I thought I could attach to my Miele, but I cannot. It attaches to the the hose attachment on my Electrolux which isn’t really helpful. Don’t think they should market it as a universal attachment. ***McHardy Response*** Hi Erin, Sorry for the confusion. The term "fit-all" is an industry word for attachments that are 1.25" in size. If unsure please carefully read the description and see if your vacuum is this size. Most North American brands are this size which is why they are called "fit-all". Since Miele is a European company they use the metric system for their attachment size so they won't fit. Good news is we have a very low cost adapter to make it work on almost any vacuum.

Was a little worried about how I would look after our new shag area rug but this attachment makes it so simple and works beautifully!

This carpet rake does everything it claims to do. I have a 5 year old 1 1/2 inch shag carpet that was flattened & a long haired cat. I was amazed at the hair it was able to pull out of the carpet and fluff it up. It now looks brand new. I would recommend this attachment to anyone with a shag carpet.

The brush went on OK but wouldn't stay on our portable vacuum extension wand -- a Vortec Force. McHardy's Response: Thank you for submitting a review! The 'Fit All' size means the opening of the attachment is 1.25" and the wand goes inside the tool. Certain brands of vacuums require an adapter to be able to use this sizing of tool. We have a thick shag rug and this tool really does the job. Fits perfectly on my Dyson vacuum. Hard to believe they don't make this accessory.

We didn't find that the rake did much of anything to take out the flattened ridges in our high quality / 1/2" high pile carpet

This quality made shag carpet vacuum rake head is fantastic !!! We have a modern, very very unusually deep pile, shag carpet area rug in our living room. This vacuum attachment tool with its flexible teeth combs out any matting or tangles and cleans deep down. The swivel hose connector lets you rotate the head so you can go completely under sofas right to the wall. We use it with a Dyson upright vacuum connected to the hose / handle.

My husband and I really started to hate our shag rugs...they were shedding and matted down like crazy. We thought shag rakes were gone in the '70s, but managed to find this one. The price is right and it works wonderfully. Our rugs look like new again and shed way less.
