The hard floor brushes that come with some vacuums are very disappointing. My new vac could suck up a brick, but it carries its tools in an onboard compartment, and I swear the brushes were designed to fit the compartment, not clean the floors gently and easily. The very hard short bristles on the original brush were scratching my urethaned wood floors, and would get snarled up with pet hair that was hard to remove. This brush fits the pipe snugly, has a wide row of soft, pliable, (possibly natural?) yet sturdy bristles, and glides easily on the floor. The front bristles are shorter to let the dirt in, so it cleans up more on the push forward than the pull back stroke. Great brush, gets in tight spaces easier than a wider brush; the matching dusting brush is also excellent. Pet har is easy to vacuum off the bristles.

I am very happy and pleased with this floor brush! We have a central vac system and the floor brush we had was rough on the floors. We've been looking for one like this for some time now. The Miele hard floor carpet combo that come standard with the S6 contour just sucks but in the wrong way. The hair gets all trapped in the fringes of bristle and is almost impossible to remove. That little generic is simply amazing: because the front row of bristle is cut shorter, it grabs everything, Then, its only a matter of using the hose to clean it afterwards. Hair comes off easily and it remains neat. No more getting your hands dirty trying to pull entangled dirt. It is soft enough to do baseboards and is very easy to move around furniture and narrow spaces. Love it!
