We're all guilty of overlooking the dirt we know is hiding out of sight, or the areas that are only slightly dirty. But the truth is these areas don't take a lot of time or effort to clean, however they make a big difference of the overall cleanliness of your home. The short list of the things you're probably not cleaning, but really should be.
Kitchen
- Dish drying rack (check the bottom of the cutlery spot!)
- Fronts of kitchen and bathroom counters
- Fridge and freezer coils (vacuum with dusting brush)
- Toaster crumbs tray
- Back splashes
- Exhaust vent or fan (key to keep moisture out of the bathroom)
- Shower curtain or curtain liner
- Toothbrush holder
- Bathmat
- Under the bed and behind the headboard
- The mattresses itself (vacuum tops and sides) plus rotate
- Tops of cabinets, door frames, and picture frames
- Under and behind the couch
- Under area rugs
- Light switches and areas around light switches
- Doorknobs and area around doorknobs
- Base boards and door / window frames
- Light fixtures, lamps, and ceiling fan blades
